In cases of greasy or purulent sputum, chronic (long-term) bronchial and lung disease, or stomach or duodenal ulcers, taking Carbocysteine 5% syrup requires medical advice.
This treatment should not be combined with the use of cough suppressants or with medications that dry up bronchial secretions.
Taking Carbocysteine 5% Mylan syrup requires precautions, particularly in patients with fructose intolerance (a rare hereditary disease) and in those controlling their sodium intake (130 mg of sodium per cup).
In addition, this syrup contains an azo coloring agent (E124 Cochineal Red) and methyl parahydroxybenzoate which may cause allergic reactions.
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medications and do not combine this syrup with other products containing carbocysteine.
If you are pregnant, this medication can be used only after consulting your doctor. Similarly, it is possible to breastfeed your child while taking Carbocysteine 5% Mylan for adults.
Seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication.
