Carbocistein Mrck S Suc 2 S Buv E/n Fl/1

The dosage for children over 5 years old is 300 mg per day, divided into morning, noon and evening, i.e. a dose of 5 ml 3 times a day.
The dosage for children aged 2 to 5 years is 200 mg per day, in 2 doses, i.e. a dose of 5 ml twice a day.

Do not exceed 8 to 10 days of treatment without consulting your doctor. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Do not double the dose of Carbocysteine 2% Viatris if you forget to take it.

An allergy to one of the constituents and in infants under 2 years of age, due to the risk of bronchial congestion, contraindicates the taking of Carbocysteine 2% Viatris syrup for children.

Medical advice is necessary in case of greasy or purulent sputum or if the patient has a chronic (long-term) disease of the bronchi and lungs.
During this treatment, it is not recommended to take cough suppressants, medications that dry bronchial secretions, or other products containing carbocysteine.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medication.
In case of stomach or duodenal ulcer, use Carbocysteine syrup with caution.

In addition, Viatris Carbocysteine 2% syrup contains 13.5 mg of sodium per 5 ml dose from the syringe.

Taking this medication is permitted on the advice of a doctor and remains possible during breastfeeding.
