Talc Officinal Powder - 250g

Cooper's powdered talcum powder is used for changing babies.

It helps absorb moisture to prevent maceration, the main cause of redness and irritation called diaper rash.
The fine particles of talc act as a kind of barrier between baby's stool and his skin and prevent friction and therefore redness by abrasion.
By limiting excess moisture and keeping the skin dry, Cooper's talcum powder protects the epidermis from breakouts.

Diaper rash in babies is characterized by redness and irritation around the baby's seat. The skin of toddlers being very fragile, it is quite common in infants.
It is mainly caused by the humidity of the diaper, the friction of the latter against the epidermis, the acidity of the stools causing maceration... but it can also be due to a skin reaction to a soap, a detergent, a product cleanser…

Talc is reputed to soften the skin and soothe itching in babies, and to absorb excess perspiration in adults (feet for example).
