Desosept ointment is a medical device presented in the form of an ophthalmic ointment and specifically developed to help relieve styes (a bacterial infection taking the form of a small painful boil located at the base of an eyelash, a redness on the edge of the eyelid and topped with a white spot of pus) or chalazion (an inflammation in the form of a small painful lump located within the eyelid, which can lead to superinfection or the formation of a cyst).

The use of Désosept Stye or Chalazion ointment is reserved for adults. Its formula is made from Manuka honey MGO 400+ (traditionally used for its disinfectant properties and to help fight inflammation), Manuka oil and organic cinnamon bark oil.

Desosept is an ointment for use on the eyelids, formulated without preservatives, and intended to relieve the symptoms associated with styes and chalazia.
