Preparation
Before the measurement: avoid smoking, eating, drinking coffee or alcohol, exerting yourself or taking a bath in the 30 minutes beforehand.
Rest for 5 minutes in a quiet setting, sitting with your legs uncrossed, back supported, and arms held upright.
Put on the armband
Remove any tight clothing from the upper arm.
Place the cuff 1 to 2 cm above the elbow, with the air tube pointing towards the hand.
Secure the cuff firmly with the Velcro. The fastening guide will light up if the cuff is correctly positioned — otherwise the measurement may be inaccurate.
Launch the measurement
Select the user (user 1 or 2).
Press the START/STOP button — the cuff inflates automatically, then deflates automatically after measurement.
Remain still and do not speak during the measurement.
If the systolic pressure is high (e.g. > 210 mmHg), you can hold the START/STOP button a little longer to inflate a little more, but do not exceed 299 mmHg.
After the measurement
Remove the armband.
The result (systolic/diastolic pressure + pulse) is displayed. The device automatically saves the measurement.
Wait 2 to 3 minutes before taking another measurement to allow arterial conditions to return to normal.
