Position the toothbrush along the gum line at a 45° angle. The bristles should make contact with both the tooth surfaces and the gum line. Without applying excessive pressure, brush the outer surfaces of two or three teeth using a circular motion from the gums towards the teeth. Repeat this motion on the next group of two or three teeth. While continuing to hold the toothbrush at a 45° angle, with the bristles in contact with the tooth surfaces and the gum line, use the same motion to thoroughly brush the inner surfaces of all the teeth. Tilt the toothbrush vertically behind the front teeth. Make several up-and-down movements using the tip of the brush head. Position the toothbrush on the chewing surfaces of the teeth in a back-and-forth motion. Brush your tongue starting at the back and gradually moving towards the front to eliminate bacteria that cause bad breath.
