Slide the forefoot into the large strap. Then, slide the big toe into the small sleeve. For the first three uses, it is recommended to wear the orthosis for only two hours. Afterward, you can wear the orthosis all day. Joint pain may be felt during the first few uses. If this persists for more than seven days, consult your podiatrist. After one month of wearing the orthosis, and if there is no pain, a second custom molding can be performed to increase the correction. The desired correction will then be achieved without the spacer, but by pulling laterally on the big toe.
