Developed by Biofreeze, the Cold Pain Relief Gel is based on the principles of cryotherapy for fast and effective relief of muscle and joint pain, as well as to limit the spread of edema.
The action of Biofreeze gel relies primarily on the combination of alcohol and menthol. The menthol naturally provides an intense cooling sensation, while the evaporation of the alcohol works together to deliver an immediate cooling sensation to the nerve endings in the skin. This reaction triggers an analgesic effect that reduces pain and improves blood flow, leading to relaxation of contracted muscles.
Easy and pleasant to use thanks to its non-greasy, non-staining texture and its light, non-lasting scent, Biofreeze Cold Soothing Pain Relief Gel is indicated for back pain, sprains, strains, dislocations, bruises, muscle tears, arthritis, and post-traumatic pain. It is particularly recommended for athletes and individuals whose professional or personal activities regularly and intensely strain their physical body.
