In infants under 2 years old, Smecta 3g strawberry should not be used.
In children over 2 years old, it can only be delivered in the event of acute diarrhea, for a maximum of 7 days and combined with an oral rehydration solution (ORS).
We advise the administration of 4 sachets per day for 3 days then 2 sachets per day for 4 days.
In adults, repeated or prolonged use of Smecta 3g is not recommended.
On average The adult will take in case of acute diarrhea 3 sachets per day for 7 days. Knowing that in practice, the dosage can be doubled at the start of treatment.
The contents of the sachet can be diluted in half a glass of water or mixed in semi-liquid food (compote, small pots, porridge...).
In case of esophagitis, it is advisable to take Smecta after meals during esophagitis, or away from meals in other indications.
Taking too large a dose of SMECTA 3 g STRAWBERRY can cause constipation, which usually disappears when the dose is reduced or treatment is stopped.
