Insert the interdental brush into the interdental spaces with very light pressure. Do not force the brush into narrow spaces.
- A slight upward tilt must be maintained for the lower arch and a downward tilt for the upper arch
- then make several gentle horizontal movements while avoiding the interdental brush coming out of the interdental spaces.
If you wear braces : interdental brushes are particularly recommended for cleaning between teeth and the wire of the orthodontic archwire, and whenever there are significant gaps between teeth. Cleaning should be done with gentle inward and outward movements, avoiding applying too much pressure to the stem. Choose an interdental brush size appropriate for the spaces you need to clean.
If you have an implant : use an interdental brush to clean the brackets and the area under the prosthesis. Gently insert it between the brackets and then clean with a soft, back-and-forth motion.
If you have a bridge : use an interdental instrument suitable for the interdental spaces affected by the bridge. Clean by inserting the interdental brush on the cheek side and the tongue side.
