MICROWAVE OVEN INSTRUCTIONS (1200W) 1. Ensure the pouch is at room temperature before heating. 2. Place the pouch flat in the microwave. Based on a 1200W microwave, heat on full power for 8 seconds. 3. Carefully remove the pouch from the microwave and check that the desired temperature is comfortable. The temperature will continue to rise slightly. If additional heat is desired, return the pouch to the microwave and heat for an additional 2 seconds, up to a total of 14 seconds. Monitor the pouch while heating, as excessive heat may cause it to rupture, leak, or burn. 4. Knead the pouch thoroughly to distribute the heat evenly. 5. If the temperature is comfortable, apply the pouch to the affected area. If the pouch is too hot, remove it and reapply when the temperature is comfortable. 6. If you need to heat it further, follow steps 1 to 5 again. Store it at room temperature for later use when hot.
FREEZER INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the pack in the freezer for at least 2 hours. 2. Remove the pack from the freezer. Test the temperature to determine your personal comfort level. If it is acceptable, apply the pack to the affected area. Note: As freezer temperatures vary, regularly check the skin during application to avoid frostbite. Cold affects everyone differently; always let comfort be your guide. The pack can be stored in the freezer for later use in cold conditions.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: WATER BATH 1. Immerse the pack in boiling water for 2 minutes (if the pack was at room temperature) to 3 minutes (if the pack was in the freezer). 2. Remove the pack from the water and dry it. 3. Test the pack's temperature before applying it to your skin. You can first apply it to a piece of fabric as a precaution. If the temperature is comfortable, you can apply the pack directly to the affected area.
